
Eastern Washington University Spring 2021 Honors Newsletter
Collaborating with the head of the Honors department at Eastern Washington University, the newsletter for Spring of 2021 was redesigned using brand colors and consistent typography.

Problem:
The original newsletter lacked visual appeal, presenting as a monotonous, single-page PDF. This lack of aesthetic appeal posed a significant challenge, as the primary task involved arranging a diverse array of information in a manner that would be both engaging and easily digestible for the audience. The challenge extended beyond mere reorganization, requiring a thoughtful approach to infuse vibrancy and coherence into the content while ensuring that the information was presented in a visually compelling and accessible format.

Solution:
Utilizing InDesign, a modular grid was implemented to ensure a cohesive design across all pages. The newsletter underwent both a reorganization and a comprehensive design overhaul, seamlessly incorporating Eastern Washington University's signature colors—red, white, and dark gray. The deliberate repetition of key elements served to reinforce a sense of unity throughout the newsletter. The end result, achieved through strategically segmenting the content, not only improves navigation but also offers a visually captivating and engaging newsletter experience.
