Typography:
Concept 1:
Access to care is frequently obstructed by barriers, metaphorically and literally represented as a brick house, contributing to feelings of intimidation and being overwhelmed. Each brick in this symbolic depiction signifies distinct obstacles encountered by women in their pursuit of care, such as neglect or toxic stress. Throughout the report, house analogies were often utilized, influencing the location to take place on a doorstep. Despite the initial perception of being locked out from essential access to care, WHWF is depicted as actively breaking down these barriers, extending an invitation for women to walk through the door toward a brighter future.
Concept 2:
The goal of the second poser was to empower and uplift women. Given WHWF's identity as a collective giving organization, the emphasis showcases the boundless potential of giving circles. These circles unite individuals with shared values and a collective commitment to effecting positive change.
The background of the poster features images of the Monroe Street Bridge and the Spokane River, accentuating the city's iconic topography. However, the primary focus is of vibrant images portraying women and girls, highlighting the diversity within the community and the collective ability to positively impact the lives of women and girls.
